Why Garoppolo and Sherman Might Be The 49ers' Yin and Yang
Thanks to Jimmy G. that 49ers have landed Richard Sherman, a free agent from Seattle Seahawks who has attracted a lot of interest from at least five teams. Sherman was aiming to sign with a top flight caliber team like Niners.

Had it not for Garoppolo leading the 49ers 5-0 finish in the last season, 49ers would not have been anywhere near the Sherman to-do list. Sherman now joins a list of 49ers players that we will be watching in the coming season.
But don't rush to buy Super Bowl tickets yet. Jimmy Garoppolo might be the most talented player in history and Sherman might become a broken-down windbag. But, lets look at the other side of the coin. If Garoppolo continues to shine just like the last season, and Sherman gets back his top shape, then 49ers will definitely have their Yin/Yang combo. Yin-Yang is a popular Chinese concept where two opposing and contrasting forces come together to form a vibrant, destiny-shaping system.
Sherman is known to be a fiery kid while Garoppolo is a smiling lad and everyone is seeing a possibility of these duo forming a serious combo. This could bring back the memories of two dynamic duos named Deion Sanders and Steve Young. For 49ers fans, the biggest problem will be to suppress the reaction of fans when they see Sherman wearing 49ers uniform. Sherman is seen by many as classic villain due to his anger which seems to be real although this is not cute. This could be the reason why Jim Harbaugh advised Colin Kaepernick to try and beat Sherman during the 2013 NFC Championship match due to their deep difference with the former Stanford star.
There will be no emotional trauma with 49ers players when welcoming Sherman since many that he taunted and haunted have already gone and the remaining ones will have a pragmatic view about their new cornerback. According the Joe Stanley, he believes many teammates will love him despite their past rivalry. But, much is left of Sherman? He tweeted his stats recently where he reminded everyone that since 2011 he has been the No.1 defensive back in NFLs although many feel that these are old stats and we are in 2018, and not 2012 or 13.
Sherman had a right Achilles injury in November and also underwent a left ankle surgery early this year to remove his bone spurs. But his comeback is something many fans are watching closely. Some feel that Sherman might be an odd fit with the Niners. General manager John Lynch and their new coach Kyle Shanahan are very quiet individuals. Sherman is also known to have opinion on various issues including about himself and he likes to express them freely. He publicly supported national anthem kneelers even though did not participate.
If Sherman will play pass defensive just like in his old days, the 49ers can brag that they have found another superstar. Jimmy Garoppolo meet Richard Sherman or the vice-versa. Go and make some destiny. A lot is expect these two duos and we can only wait and sweet. As fans rush to buy the Super Bowl tickets, we expect 49ers to perform well and become a serious title contender.
