49ers vs Seahawks Game
The San Francisco 49ers haven’t had the best of times in their games against the Seattle Seahawks but they might have an opportunity to change that in Week 12. Keep in mind the fact that the 49ers haven’t beaten the Seahawks since 2013, so you can imagine the pessimism surrounding 49ers fans these days.
But despite the unfavorable 49ers previews of the game that are circulating, San Francisco could surprise everyone by ending their losing streak in Week 12. You know that upsets like this are great for football because they will renew what has become a stagnant rivalry.

It is still a little difficult to pin the odds for the game down because Seattle has yet to play their match against the Atlanta Falcons. Presently boasting a record of 6-3, Seattle’s performance on Monday will give pundits and analysts an idea of what they can expect from the Seahawks.
But you do not have to wait for the Seattle/Atlanta match to know that the odds will not favor San Francisco in the long run. In fact, the odds this season simply haven’t favored the 49ers.
However, if you love the 49ers, you do not have to let this seemingly gloomy picture of your team’s Week 12 get you down because the 49ers have what it takes to surprise everyone.
And this isn’t merely wishful thinking. There is a good reason to believe in San Francisco. The team went into their bye in Week 11 while Seattle made their way to Santa Clara on a short Week.
That development alone could have a drastic impact on the games to come because short weeks which involve travel have a tendency to throw some teams out of their rhythm.
And it isn’t just the fact that the 49ers have more time to rest and prepare and, thus, will go into the Seattle game at full strength. You also have to think about all the injuries the Seahawks have sustained.
Richard Sherman, Seattle’s All-Pro Cornerback, is already out of the picture and his fans shouldn’t expect to see the athlete for the rest of the season. Then there is Cliff Avril on injured reserve, not to mention Kam Chancellor.
Seattle is hurting while San Francisco couldn’t be healthier. You have to keep in mind the fact that 49ers have the advantage of Jimmy Garoppolo, the young quarterback they recently acquired.
Of course, there is no reason to believe that San Francisco will start him in the Seattle game, though that is exactly what Steve Young was arguing for a little early on.
There is a good reason to expect great things from Jimmy. But it might make more sense to take the cautious route by throwing C.J. Beathard into the mix. He did really well against the Giants last week and it only makes sense to reward him with a starting position in Week 12.
Jimmy is the better quarterback, though. That talent might be what the team needs to attain victory. It will take a sharp mind in the 49ers camp to analyze the situation and deploy the right athlete for the job.
The 49ers are not down yet. Seattle is really vulnerable right now. San Francisco needs to go into the game knowing that they can win.
